Marie Bellinger (Artist)

Born in the United Kingdom, Marie spent her formative years in Hong Kong and New Zealand. At the age of 15 she and her family moved to Australia.

She completed High School and went on to study Art and Design at Perth’s College of TAFE.

After gaining her Diploma of Art and Design Marie went on to spend two years working in the United Kingdom as a desktop publisher and
has since experimented with various forms of Art - painting, drawing, graphic design, wall murals, mosaics and most recently, illustrating. Her creative instincts were recognised from an early age in New Zealand, and this was cultivated by her various teachers, friends and family.

Today Marie lives in Perth Western Australia with her finest creation to date, her daughter, Salma. Marie’s exquisite illustrations enlighten and bring significance to the words. Her use of bold colours in a unique style, with loads of humour thrown in, make her a sought after illustrator of children’s books. As an artist, Marie often channels much of her divine work - it is both insightful and soulful. She hopes to have her own exhibition displaying her most treasured pieces in the very near future.
